Happy New Years 2012!!!

So I decided to put the makeup I bought from the CCO the other day to work. Here's the finished look. I used the "pink pot" Delft as the base and put the rose pigment all over the lid. Then I used a little bit of the blue storm pigment on the outer corner and blended it in. Made a bigger wing and thicker line for the eyeliner to make the look more dramatic. I also lined my waterline with MUFA Aqua eyes in black.

Trying to mess with the lighting and see which looks better

I put a layer of Maybelline one by one mascara on the bottom lashes and also on the top. Then I added an additional layer of Maybelline falsies mascara on the top.

So Mason's younger brother did my hair. He curled it with a flat iron(Cortex brand) and then did a dutch braid on the side.

That's a better picture of the dutch braid. Looks kinda cool in my opinion with my natural hair mixed with  my dyed hair.

If anyone was wondering, the shirt i'm wearing is from Express.
A nice surprise Mason got me, Creme Brulee. I wasn't allowed to open to see what it was 'till after dinner. It wasn't very tasty but it was nice of mason to get it for me cuz he knows how much i like them ^_^

Champagne to celebrate the new years!

Hadn't kissed mason for a whole week to wait for new years and here it is :)

CCO Haul in North Carolina

I went to North Carolina on Christmas and am spending the week there. Went to Tanger Outlets and found the CCO! It was a lot bigger than the one I was used to up north. The MAC selection there was huge and I was having a hard time deciding what I wanted because I can't afford to spend more than a certain amount. If you all don't know what the CCO is, it stands for Cosmetic Company Outlet and it marks items 30% off retail price.

I bought the cremesheen glass, one pigment, and the eyeshadow on my own at first. After we had gone through the whole small outlet, we went back to the CCO for the second time around. Mason's such a silly sweetheart. He didn't know the term "Paint pot" and calls it a "Pink pot". He bought me the "pink pot" and "Rose" pigment. At first when we were in the store he held on to the two items and then when I asked for them back he said no and wouldn't let me have it. I thought he wouldn't let me buy it but then he ended up buying it for me.

Here are the beauties :)

MAC Cremesheen glass in Fashion Whim

It's a nice pretty nude color and not sticky like the dazzleglasses

MAC Paintpot in Delft

Such a pretty and unique color

MAC e/s in Surf USA from the Surf baby collection

a nice teal color that I don't have in my collection. It's a Frost shade

My first MAC pigment in Blue Storm

The swatch on the Right is just the pigment alone and the swatch on the left is the pigment applied wet. No primers underneath either.

This is the pigment Mason bought me. :) In the color Rose

It's a very pretty rose gold color. The swatch on the right is just the pigment alone and the swatch on the left is the pigment applied with water. No primers underneath either of them :)

Hope you all enjoyed this post. I'm definitely going to play around with these new shades that I have. Thanks to my hunnie, Mason, for buying me the "pink pot" and the pigment!

Random Purple Look

Long time no blog guys! I found a lot of old pictures I've been meaning to post for the blog but never got a chance to and then ended up forgetting about them. Don't remember everything exactly for this look but you'll get the idea judging from the pictures.

Products used: Urban Decay Deluxe palette
Maybelline Natural smokes quad
Maybelline one by one mascara
MUFA aqua eyes in black
Canmake eye primer
 Dollywink Liquid eyeliner
MAC Viva Glam Gaga 2
MAC sockhop liglass
Swatches of the shades (from L to R); Zero, Ransom, Fishnet

Complete Finished Look

Didn't take the step by step photos for this look (oops!). I applied the Canmake eyelid primer all over the lids and then applied the fushia color, "fishnet" from the UD palette in the inner corners. Afterwards I added the purple color, "Ransom" on the outer corners and blended it in. Although you can't see it, I added a dab of the black shade, "Zero" in the outer corners and blended it out (you could barely tell). Then I applied the highlighting color from the Maybelline Natural smokes palette as my highlighter.

Last but not least, lined my eyes with the Dollywink liquid liner and applied the Maybelline one by one mascara first without curling. Then I applied falsies and curled my real lashes with the falsies. That's pretty much it. Sorry this wasn't very interesting but I just wanted to play around with the palette that day.
